My group studies how plants steer the delicate balance between growth and the activation of defence programs, particularly the production of bioactive specialised metabolites. Plants have an impressive metabolic machinery, but it is still hardly exploited, mainly because of our limited molecular insights in its organisation. My main focus is to unravel the action of one hormone in the regulation of plant metabolism, namely jasmonate.
