My lab is interested in understanding both beneficial and maladaptive stress responses initiated by mitochondrial dysfunction in diseases and aging. Our research focuses on the regulation and outcomes of cellular responses, primarily due to mitochondrial respiratory chain deficiencies. Our major goal is to identify targets and pathways that could be leveraged to treat underlying mitochondrial conditions in various diseases.
