We study how 3D genome architecture regulates mammalian gene expression in stem cells, neurons and in disease. We investigate RNA polymerase II modification, Polycomb mediated repression and long-range chromatin folding, to understand gene regulation mechanisms that prime genes for future activation and modulate levels of expression.
