My main research interest is to apply an interdisciplinary approach to create a link between structural biology and molecular medicine which makes use of a balanced combination of expertise and methodologies, which range from computational methods to molecular and cell biology and biochemistry, to lead to new breakthroughs in understanding the molecular bases of muscular and neurological genetic diseases.
