Our lab is interested in studying the epigenetic and cellular mechanisms underlying the development of human cancers, with a particular emphasis on the role of certain post-translational modifications such as sumoylation. Our work focuses on the role of SUMO in controlling multiple aspects of chromatin structure and function in response to external cues and its implication in normal and disease states, notably in cancer.
