My laboratory combines genetics, cell biology and biochemistry to understand how RNA molecules are transported, localised and translationally controlled within the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells for proper cell function. Our main model is the Drosophila oocyte, in which mRNA localisation and localised translation control patterning of the future embryo.
