Our research focuses on mathematical and biophysical modeling of cell growth and division, both at the single-cell level and the population level, often using stochastic processes. Recent research topics include modeling cell division and DNA replication control in bacteria, the dependence of gene expression (transcription and translation) on the cell cycle, and the effects of phenotypic variability on fitness.
