My group works at the interface of molecular microbiology and systems biology. We use quantitative systems-based approaches to study bacterial cellular networks in the context of their interactions with the environment, other bacteria, the host, or phages. We then combine this information with targeted molecular approaches to mechanistically dissect the underlying interactions. Our current foci include antibiotic and human gut microbiome research.
