Our research focuses on signal transduction by PI 3-kinases (PI3Ks). Uncontrolled PI3K signalling is one of the most commonly deregulated pathways in cancer, and PI3Ks also play roles in inflammation, allergy and metabolism; clinical PI3K inhibitor drug development is ongoing. Our aim is to understand the biological roles of the different PI3K family members, and how this information can be exploited for therapeutic benefit.
