Work within our group aims to understand the structure and mechanism of macromolecular redox complexes that mediate the chemistry of life, with important implications for nutrient cycling, climate change and human health. We use a combination of biochemical and molecular biology tools, electrochemistry and cryo-EM. We also develop tools for elemental mapping in single-particle reconstructions.
