Some vertebrate animals are able to regenerate complex tissues after major injuries. We are excited about the innate regenerative process and focus our efforts on key knowledge gaps ideally suited for investigation using the zebrafish model. Through large-scale cell imaging, genetics, and systems-level analyses, we aim to discover the intricate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing the process of regeneration.
