Research in our lab focuses in the areas of bioorganic and synthetic chemistry, including synthesis of complex carbohydrates, glycoproteins and small-molecule probes for the study of carbohydrate-mediated biological recognition, post-translational glycosylation, and drug discovery. Our original work on programmable one-pot reactions has provided a powerful platform for use to tackle important problems in biology, especially those associated with cancer, infectious diseases and immune system.
