Our research is mainly directed at elucidating the molecular and cellular mechanisms of sound processing in the auditory system. The genetic bases of human deafness and engineered mouse models coupled to interdisciplinary approaches provide major cues. Based on these findings, innovative therapeutic approaches are under development.
