Cell guidance during tissue development relies on a combinatorial code of receptor and ligand interactions that direct adhesive and repulsive cellular responses. Depending on the context, these interactions give rise to distinct molecular assemblies. My lab focuses on understanding the rules governing the assembly of these receptor-ligand complexes and aims to reveal their functions in the neural and vascular systems.
