Our lab investigates processes of cellular proteostasis, encompassing ribosome assembly, protein biogenesis, and molecular chaperone mechanisms. Our primary objective is to understand the underlying biological principles that govern the co-translational processing of newly synthesized proteins. This understanding plays a critical role in ensuring the appropriate modification, folding, and targeting of proteins to organelles, ultimately sustaining proteostasis and promoting overall health.
