My laboratory concentrates on the adult central nervous system and the unexpected plasticity and adaptability to environmental stimulation that persists throughout the life of all mammals. Specifically we focus on the cellular, molecular, genetic and environmental influences that regulate the birth, differentiation, maturation and function of neurons born in the adult mammalian brain.
