We study the molecular basis of virus entry/fusion and virus evolution. My group is also interested in the molecular basis of host immune recognition, including interactions of key immune molecules, especially the T-cell receptors, co-receptors, neutralizing antibodies to antigens, and other proteins. We are working on molecular epidemiology and 'host jump' of animal-borne emerging viruses. We are actively involved in the research of global public health policy.
