Chromatin organization and alternative splicing

We provided seminal contributions to current understanding of the function of alternative splicing in generating higher level of human complexity. We demonstrated connections between chromatin organization and epigenetic markers to alternative splicing. We study the connection between alternative splicing and cancer. We discovered a new therapy for Familial Dysautonomia, a neurodegenerative disease caused by a splicing defect.
