Filiation of intestinal and gastric stem cells

My group is currently studying the filiation of intestinal and gastric epithelial stem cells during development and regeneration in mice, with a focus on the role of leucine-rich repeat G protein-coupled receptors. We recently identified developmental progenitors responsible for the first wave of intestinal villogenesis and gastric glandular epithelium, and demonstrated that, contrary to current belief, Lgr4 and Lgr5 would have non-redundant effects on the regulation of the Wnt pathway.
