The research of my lab fits a clear 'bottom-up' approach. Studying the signalling of cannabinoid CB1 receptors, we recently contributed to the identification of key mechanisms regulating brain functions and behavior, such as the fine-tune balance between excitation and inhibition in specific circuits, the roles of astrocytes in memory, and the impact of mitochondrial bioenergetic processes on neuronal and astroglial signalling.
