My group aims to understand the biogenesis and functions of exosomes and the lysosome related organelles of pigment cells, melanosomes. We decipher mechanisms involved in early melanogenesis and address how genes mutated in lysosomal diseases regulate melanogenesis in coordination with adaptors, molecular motors, Rab GTPases. Our studies also investigate the mechanisms underlying cellular communications in the skin by cell contacts or via exosomes
