Our lab studies the spatial and temporal regulation of mitosis using a combination of live-cell microscopy, laser microsurgery, super-resolution microscopy and molecular tools. We are interested in dissecting the role of the so called 'tubulin code' during mitosis, with a focus on kinetochore-based chromosome motion, as well as investigating the role of a recently uncovered mitotic checkpoint that regulates the anaphase-telophase transition.
