My group studies neural development and focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying neural stem cell division, proliferation and differentiation. We are fascinated by the question how neural stem cells exit from quiescence and become reactivated. Our laboratory also aims to understand neural stem cell self-renewal and asymmetric division. We also study how de-differentiation is prevented during the development of the central nervous system.
