My group investigates genetic and epigenetic organisation of plant genomes. We focus on meiotic recombination, DNA methylation, the centromeres and the role of DNA repeats, including transposons. We mainly work on the model species Arabidopsis thaliana, but are also interested in translating our findings into crop species, in order to accelerate strain improvement and adapt to the changing climate.
