Hox control of development in Drosophila

My group investigates the role of Hox proteins in cell fate specification, differentiation, tissue communication, and homeostasis. These conserved proteins control body part identities along the anterior-posterior axis in animals. We employ genomic, genetic, molecular, biochemical, and proteomic techniques, alongside computational analyses and simulations, to uncover how closely related Hox proteins perform their specific functions in vivo.
