We study spatial and temporal dynamics of chromosomes during the mammalian cell cycle and after DNA damage with an emphasis on how these mechanisms are subverted in cancer and other diseases associated with genome instability. My long-term interests also include high-content microscopy screens for genome caretakers and real-time imaging of signalling and repair reactions induced by DNA damage.
