'Nothing in a genome makes sense, except in the light of molecular evolution'. My main research interest is to understand the processes that drive genome evolution. I try to tease apart the contributions of selective and non-adaptive processes to better understand which genomic features are functionally important. We notably study the processes of recombination and biased gene conversion, and their impact on the evolution of genomics landscapes.
