Our group studies the relationship between chromosome structure and transcriptional regulation in mammalian cells. We aim to understand how enhancers control transcription of their target genes from large genomic distances, in the context of the three-dimensional structure of chromosomes and its dynamics. To this aim, we use an integrated approach combining genomics, genetic engineering, live-cell microscopy and physical modelling.
