My group focuses on the role of homologous recombination (HR) in preserving genome stability. We investigate how HR factors facilitate double-strand break repair and safeguard stalled replication forks, and how failures in these processes contribute to genome instability and disease development. Additionally, we are actively developing selective nuclease inhibitors, determining their mechanisms, and identifying potential therapeutic applications.
