My laboratory focuses on the mechanisms of cytokinesis and cell polarization with a particular focus on how small GTPases are regulated in space and time. To enhance our understanding these dynamic processes, we have developed optogenetic tools that allow key molecules to be perturbed with precise spatial and temporal control.
