Our laboratory utilises molecular genetic, cultured cell, biochemical, structural, bioinformatic and cohort-based methodologies to study the biological principles that underpin HIV replication and pathogenesis (AIDS). Current areas of interest include host-virus interactions, cell-encoded mechanisms of anti-viral resistance (e.g., the APOBEC3 and MX proteins) and virus particle assembly.
