Our lab combines neuronal activity measurements and manipulations with quantitative approaches to track and classify behavioral and bodily expressions of emotions. We aim at understanding how emotions are represented and regulated at diverse scales and by different systems, using the mouse as model organism. We are particularly interested in the interaction of body and brain, as well as the insular cortex in emotion processing and regulation.
