We study how cell adhesion and the cytoskeleton are integrated in morphogenesis. Our main focus is on the intracellular pathways induced by integrin adhesion to the extracellular matrix, using the diverse functions of integrins in Drosophila development as assays for molecular function. Our Cambridge subgroup of FlyBase curates genetic and gene function data from the research literature.
