My lab has been focusing on the structural and mechanistic investigation of membrane transport proteins with physiological, pathophysiological, and pharmaceutical significance. We reported the first structures of human glucose transporters GLUT1 and GLUT3, the eukaryotic voltage-gated Na and Ca (Nav/Cav) channels, and RyRs, which are the largest channels known. We aim to contribute to structure-guided drug discovery targeting Nav/Cav channels.
