I am interested in the formation of subcellular order and its coordination within tissues. I am studying these processes in plants, because it is little understood how the abundance of beautifullly ordered cell and tissue structures in this kingdom of life comes about. Moreover, I think that the independent evolution of multi-cellularity in plants allows to enlarge our view beyond the specificities found in the animal and fungal branches of life.
