Autophagy and vesicle traffic in fly development

I am a Drosophila geneticist, and my group is interested in cellular mechanisms that mediate adaptation to stress conditions. We focus on the role of autophagy, intracellular vesicle trafficking and responses to hypoxia during developmental processes. These processes currently include blood cell differentiation and control of exocytosis in the salivary gland, during the larva-to-pupa transition.
