We are working on the structural biology of signalling in response to nutritional stress and growth factors. Much of our work involves members of the lipid and protein kinases that make up the phosphoinositide 3-kinase family of enzymes. We study regulation of these enzyme complexes in basic cellular homeostasis. Our approach involves X-ray crystallography, hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry and cryo-electron microscopy.
