Our research addresses mechanisms and biological relevance of the DNA damage response (DDR). Our experimental approach ranges from single molecule biophysics to animal models and patient derived materials. We translate fundamental insight into how the DDR operates to how it can be used to select cancer patients for precision therapy and how it can be manipulated to design novel treatments.
