My group employs biochemical and structural biology approaches to decipher the molecular details of various steps involved in protein synthesis, and to figure out how it is regulated. Understanding protein synthesis and its regulation is essential and will be beneficial for many human diseases and for the development of novel therapeutic strategies against bacterial, fungal, and viral infections.
