The selection and adoption of different cell fates by haemopoietic stem and progenitor cells must be co-ordinately regulated, and we presume that this is largely achieved through modulation of overlapping or linked networks of transcription factors. Against this backdrop we pursue related approaches aimed at understanding how transcription factor networks regulate stem and progenitor cell fate, and how they are dysregulated in leukaemia.
