Our lab's overarching goal is to better understand complex biological systems. To this end, we combine a range of experimental and computational approaches, many developed in the lab or in collaboration with physicists and computational biologists. Our investigations are focused on two problems – the gene regulatory networks underlying development, and the function of glia in the nervous system.
Keywords: Gene regulatory networks / transcription & chromatin / fly / glia in phagocytosis, blood-brain barrier, neurodegeneration
