Systems properties controlling cellular decisions

Dynamic alterations in communication and information processing contribute to cancer formation. I employ a systems biology approach using quantitative mass spectrometry to understand mechanisms controlling erythropoietin-mediated cellular decisions, development of liver cancer, and the role of transforming growth factor beta in lung cancer. The aim is to improve early detection of cancer, patient stratification and personalized treatment.
