The molecular biology of RNA 3' end processing

I am collaborating with the group of Prof. Mihaela Zavolan (Biozentrum Basel) on the genome-wide mapping of human pre-mRNA 3' end processing sites and the sites where the different components of the 3' end processing factors bind their target RNAs. In collaboration with Prof. Holger Stark (Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry Göttingen) we are analyzing the structure of the major yeast 3' end processing complex by electron microscopy.
