I am interested in the structure, function and evolution of expression regulatory networks. We study transcription, translation, mRNA decay and how these processes are coordinated in cells. We employ lab-evolution to study how the architecture of the regulatory networks evolve to reflect the structure of the environment, and how redundancy and predictive cellular behavior was designed and implemented by evolution.
