Using mainly yeast as model, our group works on how the cell controls its architecture and reorganizes it throughout mitosis, particularly during asymmetric cell division. These studies take us to investigate the role of septin-dependent diffusion barriers in the control of cellular organization, in the asymmetric segregation of fate determinants and age, and in the generation of phenotypic diversity.
