Our group studies mammalian brain evolution and development. We wish to understand how the environment is shaping our cerebral cortex through the thalamic afferents that start to influence the cortical progenitor division, neuronal migration and differentiation and the assembly of the earliest transient circuits. We study how early cortical circuits match spontaneous and sensory-driven activity during development.
